Modern Day Slavery by Kimberly Douglas

Modern Day Slavery by Kimberly Douglas

this piece is dedicated to my family. to my two beautiful brothers, my resilient mother and my equitable father, your lives matter. when the world looks at you, they may see threats. when I look at you, I see strength, light, potential, and love. and to my many black brothers and sisters whose blood I may not share biologically but whose pain I carry on my back daily, do not stop using your voice. there is a light at the end of this tunnel. black lives did, do, and always will, MATTER.
